Hannah Erxleben
Recorder Player | Teacher | Music Creator
Hi! I am Hannah, professional recorder player, teacher, composer and producer based in Amsterdam.
My work is driven by curiosity, storytelling, and a fascination with sound in all its forms. As a performer, I move between the worlds of early music and contemporary music, exploring the traditions of the recorder and its possibilities in new contexts. I am drawn to projects that seek connection, imagination, and artistic exploration.
Alongside my work as a performer, I compose and produce music, often combining acoustic instruments, electronics, and interdisciplinary elements. My projects explore themes such as transformation, identity, nature, and the relationship between sound and narrative.
As a recorder teacher, I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for music with students of all ages and levels. I aim to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and individual expression.
Originally from Berlin and now based in Amsterdam, I perform as a soloist and chamber musician in a wide range of artistic settings, from historical ensemble settings to experimental multimedia projects and large-scale music theatre productions.
