Hannah Erxleben
To me, the recorder is a ‘tabula rasa’, an empty slate, a minimalistic wooden tube. Whenever I play it, I experience it differently. Depending on the music it is being fed and who feeds it, the instrument conveys the most contrasting states of mind.

all about recorder
Hannah works in many different musical fields. Her strongest focus lies on Early Music and the newly discovered ‘Electro Baroque’ which she explores in her Duo ‘Reimagined’. Next to that, she is playing contemporary music and has a favor for interdisciplinary art. Whatever it is, as long as it features recorder or has a potential space for the instrument, Hannah is keen to claim a place in it.
